The Windhorse Employment Services Program recognizes employment as an essential aspect of well being and enrichment to one’s life. Our goal is to see individuals reach their highest employment potential.
Our program services focus on assisting individuals in seeking and retaining employment. Whether via private pay or with financial support from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, services will vary based on the goals set by the client.
Clients receive expert, customized assistance with identifying a career path, implementing a job search, obtaining placement with an employer, and receiving job training and counseling to promote job retention. Ongoing support will be provided.
Employment Readiness – Through educational classes clients can begin the exploration of the World of Work and assess their values, needs and other employment specifics that will promote long- term job success.
Work and Volunteer Experiences – Paid and unpaid placements are available as stepping-stones to permanent community employment. Sites have included Infinitely Simple, Black Cat Farm, Omni Resort, YMCA, Home Goods, Marshall’s, Lucky’s Market and Sunrise Assisted Living Facility.

Career Exploration, Vocational Counseling & Internships – Clients work with staff to complete vocational testing, interest surveys, journal exercises, informational interviews, analysis of job descriptions and participation in internships.
