About Me
I was raised in Longmont, CO where I developed an early interest in Psychology. I went on to major in Psychology at University of Colorado, Boulder where I specialized in cognitive psychology and research, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2007. I began volunteering at Windhorse in 2013 where I co-created a curriculum based on the Hero’s Journey and started the gardening and cooking groups. My work is heavily influenced by myth, ritual and the Hero’s Journey. I became interested in pursuing a Master’s degree due to my love of helping people gain perspective and hope after suffering with mental health challenges. I attended graduate school at Lenoir-Rhyne in Asheville, NC and graduated with my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2017. I am passionate about experiential therapy, the importance of nature in the healing process, and transforming those who feel like victims of their diagnoses or circumstances into the heroes of their own journey. In my free time I spend time with my kittens, cook farm to table dishes, and spend time in nature.
